Barbara L. Cuneo, a beloved sister and friend, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026, in Norfolk, Virginia, at the age of 74. Born on June 21, 1952, in Brooklyn, New York, Barbara lived a life filled with warmth, kindness, and a dedication to those she loved.
Throughout her career, Barbara worked diligently as a secretary, where her attention to detail and organizational skills were deeply valued. Beyond her professional life, she found joy in the simple pleasures of reading, completing word search puzzles, and swimming. These activities reflected her inquisitive mind and her love for both mental and physical engagement.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, John Anthony Cuneo and Edna Mattsen Cuneo, and her brother, John Cuneo. She leaves behind her cherished twin sister, Carolyn R. Cuneo, who was her lifelong companion and confidante.
In accordance with her wishes, services for Barbara will be private. Her family and friends will remember her as a gentle soul whose presence brought comfort and joy to those around her. Though she is no longer with us, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
