Belen Trinidad Copon

Belen T. Copon, 91, passed away December 13, 2021 in Chesapeake. A native of Cavite, Philippines, she was the daughter of the late Fabian and Bandina Trinidad. She was a loving, caring and selfless Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who generously dedicated her life to ensuring her family was provided with a life of the best opportunities. She wholeheartedly invested in her loved ones, and humbly gave all that she had without ever expecting anything in return. Belen was married to her beloved husband Marcelino Copon on December 13, 1955 until he passed away in 2007.

She is survived by her five children Evelyn Andrada and her husband Angelo of Guam, August Copon and his wife Maria of Virginia Beach, Berlin Copon and his wife Lelou of Virginia Beach, Lefine Copon of Chesapeake, and Noralyn Avila and her husband Arsenio of Chesapeake; 11 grandchildren, Darnell of Washington, Summer of California, Christopher of Virginia Beach, Diana and her husband Corbin of Maryland, Michael and his wife Victoria of Virginia Beach, Erick and his wife Jelannie of Richmond, Jordan and his wife Mylo of Chesapeake, Charlene of Chesapeake, Kevin and his fiancée Jia of Virginia Beach, Britney and her husband Roy of Florida, and Christian of Chesapeake; and 15 great-grandchildren, Aidan, Azalea, Freya, Alistair, Emrich, Malachi, Jameson, Easton, Angelene, Addison, Alayna, Reyana, Greyson, Rylie and Ronan.

A visitation service will take place Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral service and final resting place will follow on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home and Rosewood Memorial Park Cemetery.
