Bernice Beverly Boone, 91, passed away in her home, as requested, on December 25, 2021. Originally from New Bedford, MA, she was born to the late Charles and Yvonne Sylvia on January 22nd, 1930. While out skating, William A Boone purposely tripped Bernice as an excuse to meet her. The encounter led to marriage and she became a Navy wife and mother to her loving three daughters.
As a lifelong resident of Virginia Beach, Bernice was a talented and loved leader with The Historic Cavalier Hotel for over 30 years.
In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her husband William A Boone; sister, Elaine Weathers, and grandson Jeremy Westerman.
She is survived by her three daughters, Sandra Amundson, Dianne Westerman, and Renee Boone; grandchildren Ryan Westerman, Cassie Watkins, Daniel Santiago, and Jesse Santiago; great-grandchildren Riley Schacht, Liliana Westerman, and Kane Santiago and special family friends Sonja and Theodore Glass.
A Graveside service will respectfully be private to immediate family and close friends: however, there will be Celebration of Life on a later date for all to join. Condolences may be offered to the family at
