Mrs. Stanley was born in Fountain County, Indiana and was secretary for a law firm, also a secretary for the Phycology department at Old Dominion University for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas A. Stanley and her eldest son Dr. James Bryan Stanley.
Survivors include two daughters Linda Stanley, Carolyn Dolloff, two sons, Jerry T. Stanley and Philip W. Stanley, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Rosewood Memorial Park. Friends may offer condolences at www.kellumfuneralhome.com
