Bonifacia B. Raymer, 82, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2026.
Bonifacia was born in Mindanao, Philippines, and later made Virginia Beach her home, where she built a life centered around faith, family, service, and love.
She was the beloved wife of the late John D. Raymer, who passed away in 2001. She was also the devoted mother of Michael Raymer and the late Luisa Raymer, who passed away in 2015.
Bonifacia was a strong-minded, devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family deeply. She was a woman who knew what she believed in and was never afraid to stand her ground. To her only grandchild, Alexis Massengill, she was not only a grandmother, but a treasured part of her life and family.
She was also a proud great-grandmother to five great-grandchildren, who brought her great joy.
Bonifacia dedicated 19 years of her life to the Virginia Beach school system, where she served her community through her work. Outside of work, she found happiness in the simple things she loved most. She enjoyed gardening, spending time nurturing the things she planted, and sharing her beautiful voice as a member of the choir at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Her Catholic faith was an important part of her life, and she was a faithful member of CSAT.
Bonifacia leaves behind a legacy of strength, faith, perseverance, and devotion to family. Though her passing leaves a tremendous emptiness for those who loved her, her memory will continue through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John D. Raymer; her daughter, Luisa Raymer; and her parents.
She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of her family.
Visitation will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1396 Lynnhaven Pkwy, Virginia Beach, VA 23453, US, on September 29, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
A Committal Service will take place at Rosewood Memorial Park, 631 North Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462, US, on September 30, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
May she rest peacefully in God's loving arms, reunited with those she loved and carried with her throughout her life. 🕊️❤️
