Carol was a woman of remarkable strength and gentle kindness. She was deeply loved by all who knew her, embodying a goodness that was pure and without flaw. She accepted people for who they were, always ready to help anyone in need.
A devoted wife, Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband in 1997. She was also reunited in passing with her children, Rodney S. Gray Jr., who passed away at just 20 months old, and Susan Gray. She is survived by her children Karen Tate, Lori Campbell, and David Gray.
Carol was a proud and loving grandmother to Jeremy, Nicole, Jennifer, Jessie, Tyler, Steve, Chris, Tayler, and Alex, as well as step-grandchildren Bryan, Cameron, Tyler, Amber, Shaun, and Jillian. She was also blessed with many great-grandchildren, three of whom—Brandon, Caleb, and Noah—had the privilege of growing up in her home, along with her granddaughter Nicole.
One of Carol’s greatest joys was attending her grandchildren’s baseball games, cheering them on with pride and love.
Carol’s unwavering love and kindness touched so many lives, and her presence will be deeply missed. She passed away peacefully in her home, just as she had lived—surrounded by family, love, and warmth.
Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know and love her.
