Carrie Ernestine Prickett, fondly known as momma, Mrs. Carrie, Mrs. P, Grandma, Gigi and Teen. Family and Friend names given to her by those who knew her and loved her very much. A country girl from a time gone by who knew what it was like to pick cotton and put in a hard day’s work. A work ethic that was taught by example. Someone who would do anything for family and whatever she could for a friend. She was a Gemini with a heart of gold for all, especially children. She never met a stranger and if you were good to animals and children you were good in her book. She loved her flowers, and she loved trees.
She was thankful to her God for the life he gave her and though she experienced some things in her life that no one should have to go through, she never lost her faith. She would always tell me; God has been good to me and allowed me a long life. It’s not for me to know when my time is up, but to be ready when it is. I was thankful for her lessons and her love. I know I speak for all who knew and loved her that she will be truly missed but they are truly happy that she is free from the pain and has been reunited with her husband and daughter as well as her whole family. Rest in Peace Mom. I love you forever more.
