On August 1, 2012, Catherine Strickland Sheranko, born December 15, 1956, passed to her eternal rest. Catherine was predeceased by her beloved mother, Julia Strickland, and is survived by her loving father Rev. Paul B. Strickland of Benson, NC, her son Jamie Warren, daughters Kathryn Haven and Kelly Sheranko, and her sister Betty Clark. She was the greatest love of her devoted husband Sam’s life.
Catherine was a graduate of Lake Taylor High School and attended the University of Alabama.
She will forever be remembered for her love of family, generous spirit, and compassion for all living things.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 4, 2012, from 6 to 8 PM, in Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Rd., Va. Beach. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home in Va. Beach on Sunday, August 5, 2012.
