VIRGINIA BEACH – Cecil D. Ralston, died at home in Virginia Beach on September 4, 2012.
Cecil was born in Oklahoma on December 15, 1921 to the late Joseph and Rosette Ralston. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret T. Ralston; sister, Esther Hopkins; and granddaughter, Sicilia Espaillat.
Cecil is survived by his daughters, Beverly Heffington, (husband, Garland) and Carol Estes, (husband, Bill);
grandchildren Jennifer Eaves, Art Estes (wife Jan), Keith Estes (Karen), and Holly Davis (husband, Brian); and 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great- great- grandchildren); and niece, Sue Fields (husband, Robert).
He retired from the Army in 1960 and the Postal Service in 1979. He was a member of Baylake United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, September 06, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held Friday, September 07, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 North Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, VA. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Garden.
