Charles Floyd, Jr., 87, passed away in Norfolk on Sunday. Floyd was born in Fairbanks, PA to the late Charles and Carrie Floyd. He is predeceased by his wife, Deloris Floyd as well. Floyd retired from the US Navy with 22 years of service. He later worked for Newport News Shipyard and Moon’s Engineering. He was also a member of the Mason’s as well. Floyd was the life of the party and true entertainer with his vivacious personality and he will be missed by all. He is survived by his daughters, Shirley Jordan of Cornelius, NC, Susan Cooper of Virginia Beach, Linda Melvin of Norfolk, Regina Clinton of Virginia Beach and Carolyn Floyd Jessup of MD; sons, Charles Floyd, III, and Anthony Floyd both of Norfolk, VA.; siblings, Gilbert Floyd and Elizabeth Floyd as well as a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
