Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Jones, and Helen & Max Wilson.
Charles “Chuck” was an employee of HRSD and retired as a plant operator after 30 years of dedicated service. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Survivors include: his loving wife, Sandra Jones; daughter and son-in-law, Samantha & Peyton Palmer; grandchildren, Brooks and Clarke; his adoring sisters, Deborah Davis, Susan Hawley (Jerry), and Pam Caudle (Walt); beloved nieces and nephews, Kelly, Rob, Davis and Ashley; and his dog and loyal companion, Rudy.
Chuck was best known for his beautiful and generous heart, and was affectionately referred to by many as “Santa”.
The family would like to thank: The ALS Association; Paralyzed Veterans of America; Hampton Veterans Affairs (VA); Dr. Andrew Galbreath and Becky; and Chuck’s very special nurses, Bernie, Tania and Suzanne for the untiring and loving care they provided.
A memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 7, at 2:00 p.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home in Virginia Beach.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that charitable donations be made in Chuck’s honor to The ALS Association.
