Virginia Beach - Charlotte E. Crossan, 81, passed away June 30, 2014. She was born Feb. 4, 1933 in Bryn Mawr, PA to the late Charles and Mary Stuart. Mrs. Crossan started a career as a telephone operator, and then continued a career as a bank teller for ABNB Credit Union working at the Little Creek Base and the Wishart Road branches. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and supportive Navy wife.
She is preceded in death by her dear son, James “Jimmy” J. Crossan III; five brothers; and one sister.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 56 years, James J. Crossan Jr.; daughter, Deborah Slough and her husband Dennis; son, Shawn P. Crossan and his wife Heather; granddaughters, Emily Jennings and her husband Matthew and Karen Slough; great-grandchildren, Easton and Stella Jennings; sister, Mary “Dolly” Carr; and cherished dog, Deojii.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday July 7, 2014 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday July 8, 2014 at JEB Little Creek Chapel with burial to follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
