Connie Headley Leitner

Virginia Beach – Connie H. Leitner, 76, entered into eternal rest, Monday, July 19, 2010. She was predeceased by her parents, Mae and Curtis Daniels; and sister, Lizzette Daniels, all of Dare County, NC.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 59 years, Alfred Leitner; two daughters, Valerie Wheeler and husband Terry of Manteo, NC and Veronica Hill and husband Jeff of Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Alice Creef and husband William of Manteo, NC; six grandchildren, Keith Wheeler and wife Wendy, Jason Wheeler and wife Jennifer, Stacie Wheeler Allen and husband Bryon, Alfie Wheeler, Chase Hill, and Chelsea Hill; and five great-grandchildren.

Connie was a dedicated civil service employee for 30 years. She took great pride and joy in her family and will be remembered as a loving, generous, and caring person.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the funeral home.
