David Gimenez

Rev. Gimenez was preceded in death by his parents John Gimenez and Estrella Casiano, his siblings, Sarah, Louis, Emily, John, Anna, Dina, and his wife Jennie Curbello Gimenez.

Rev. Gimenez served faithfully as pastor of Iglesia La Roca de Norfolk, later the Iglesia Cristiana Centro de Amor. His tireless service to the community included his position as President of the local chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Hispanics. The Hispanic Pastors and Ministers honored him as a pioneer of the Gospel among the Hispanic People of Tidewater.

Survivors include three children, David John Gimenez and his wife Jill, Linda DeLauri and her husband Rocco and Jennifer Tipton and her husband Mark; ten grandchildren, David Michael, Christina and her husband Ronnie, Rocco, Noah and her husband Aaron, Jenna, Michael, Jordan, Brianna, Grace, Jami, four great grandchildren Raelynn, Bristol, Elijah and Elise and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be on Tuesday, February 10 at 1:00 pm. The address is: Christian Embassy International Church

1208 Centerville Turnpike N, Chesapeake, VA 23320. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church.

A graveside service will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park, 631 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, Va.
