Obituary of Diana Fox
Diana M. Fox, 56, passed away peacefully in her home in Virginia Beach on August 16, 2018. She spent her school years in Maryland, where she graduated from Oxon Hill High School. After graduating, she moved to Madrid, Spain for a year to live with her mother. Upon returning to the U.S., she made Virginia her home. She started her career with the government, but transitioned to the private sector where she worked over 30 years for such companies as Long & Foster, Compass, and UniFirst Corporation. She also worked as a sales representative at various military stores in Northern Virginia. In the last year of her life, she found her preferred calling when she taught Spanish language to students at Kenwood School in Annandale, Virginia. She often commented to her family how much she enjoyed the interaction with the school children. Her interests included teaching, making arts/crafts, gardening, listening to music of all genre, soaking up the sun at the beach, and spending quality time with her family. She made it a point to take over the house chores when her mother became sick. Since childhood, Diana loved animals. She raised huskies with her Dad when she was young, loved her over-sized dog Bucky, and specially loved her cat Elsa, who was by her side when she passed away. Her favorite charity was the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Fox and Ana Hines. She is survived by her sisters Dolores Fox and Linda Dove, step-father Frank Hines, brother-in-law Calvin Dove, aunt Mary Oliver, cousin Stacey Gonzales, nephew Sean O’Briant, and niece Jacqueline Baker.
