Dominador (Danny) Fronda Fermil, Sr., 93, went to sleep on April 7, 2020 surrounded by his family and awoke to eternal life on April 8, 2020. Mr. Fermil was preceded in death by his parents Ambrosio D. Fermil and Maximina Fronda Fermil. He was one of 12 children. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer from the U.S. Navy and was a beloved member of the Kempsville Church of God.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 67 years, Amelia Gray Fermil, his son Dominador (Dan) Fermil (wife Christine), daughter Grace Antoinette Guess (husband Lawrence), son Anthony Gray Fermil (wife Lisa), 8 grandchildren, Amy (spouse Byron), Kristi (spouse Lance), Jennifer (spouse Chad), Jenna, Justin Reid, Tyler, Travis (spouse Brittany), and Kiel (spouse Sara), 11 Great-grandchildren Tiffany, Jayson, Aiden, Londyn, Dallas, Ciera, Addison, Harper, Rosalyn, Sawyer, Lyla, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great-nephews, his 2 sisters and 2 brothers in the Philippines, Gloria, Rosing, Delfin and Manuel, and so many friends that he considered family.
Graveside services will be private at Rosewood Memorial Park. Pastor Adam Frye will officiate.
Full military honors and reception will be arranged at a safe, future date.
