Donald Glynn Gaylord, Jr.

Donnie was raised in Norfolk and attended Norview High School.

After many years of being in the auto and transmission repair business, he found his passion in towing. He took great pride in his skill and ability and loved going to work with his best friend everyday (his tow truck). He would talk for hours about all the awesome cars and trucks he got to tow, and looked forward to working The Monsters On The Beach each May. He was deeply saddened when he had to retire from Julie's towing in 2020.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lisa M. Gaylord, His children Nicholas (Danielle), Christopher, Russel (Shamara) and Alexis. His grandchildren Caiden, Logan, Adrian and Isaac. His brother David(Angie). His sisters JoAnn (Dave), Ruby (Keith), Dottie (Steve) and his twin sister Donna (Mike). Six nephews, four nieces and many great nephews and nieces. He is also survived by his favorite mother-in-law Carmen and many In-laws.

A service and reception in Donnie's honor will be held 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home 601 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, VA.
