Donald Edward Remy

Donald Edward Remy, 80, passed away on April 28, 2021. Donald is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Judith Taylor Remy and children Ric Remy (Joyce), Greg Remy (Christy) and Debbie Remy O‘Brien; grandchildren, Kyle, Jacob, Sarah, Phillip, Kelsey, and Bethany as well as Grandpup, Sheba. Don was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. Upon high school graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy and was stationed in Norfolk, VA where he met his future wife. After leaving the Navy, he spent many years working for the Civil Service. He was also a long time adjunct professor of electronics at Tidewater Community College. He was a charter member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Virginia Beach. He was a #1 sports fan and coach for his children and grandchildren. He was a graduate of Old Dominion University with a BA and MA. He was an avid fan and season ticket holder of ODU Football. A memorial service will be conducted at 3pm, Monday, May 3, 2021 at St. Andrews United Methodist Church. Interment will be private.
