She was born in Roanoke, Virginia to Luey Bayse and Dorothy Virginia Brinkley Bayse. Alice retired from Rose’s as a sales clerk. She worked as a CNA and senior caregiver in her later years. Alice was an avid race car fan, and she loved doing crafts such as crocheting, knitting, and sewing. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and in the nursery.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents, Luey Bayse and Dorothy Virginia Brinkley Bayse, her brothers, Daniel Luey Bayse, Robert Donald Bayse, David Edward Bayse, Samuel Dixie Bayse, Douglas Dwight Bayse, William Delaney Bayse, and Thomas Dean Bayse. She is survived by her brothers, Dennis “Butch” Virgil Bayse (Bonnie Bayse) and Ronald “Ronnie” Dale Bayse, as well as many nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 pm at Tabernacle Baptist Church located at 717 North Whitehurst Landing Road in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2:00 pm at Rosewood Memorial Park 601 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to diabetes associations, heart associations, or her church in her memory.
