Dorothy M. Capps, 93, went to be with the Lord on July 29, 2012. She was born in Fairton, New Jersey and had resided in Virginia Beach since 1950. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alvin Bonnie Capps; son, Alvin Bonnie Capps, Jr., and daughter, Linda Mae Waschow. Dorothy was a faithful member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Richard M. Capps, Sr., and wife Aileen; sister Edith Westbrook; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Dorothy’s family would like to thank the staff of Virginia Beach Health Care and Rehab for all of the love and care that was given to her.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 from 7 - 8 p.m. in Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home in Virginia Beach. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August, 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Charity Church Cemetery, 4080 Charity Neck Road in Virginia Beach 23457.
