Dorothy Jane Gardner, 76 went home to the Lord December 26, 2012. Dorothy was born November 26, 1936 in Cincinnati, Ohio and resided in Virginia Beach for more than thirty years. She was Catholic by faith and attended Ascension Catholic Church and Church of The Holy Apostle. She was a member of the Aragona Moose Lodge #684 for twenty-four years and the Fraternal Order of The Eagles #3204. Survivors include six children: Carol Hilliard and husband John, Jane Lynn Grim and husband Rich Gardner, John David McIntosh and wife Teresa, Steven Scott McIntosh and wife Diane, Robert Howard McIntosh and wife Claudia, Paula Thompson and husband Tommy and five step children. She was the proud Grandmother to nineteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 31, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at Church of The Holy Apostle in Virginia Beach. Memorial donations may be made to The Virginia Beach S.P.C.A. My Best Friend Dot. I am missing you so much..I know the Lord took you so soon because he needed for you to be in charge of all the other lodge members and keep them straight..You are always in my heart forever..Carol is now gonna have to keep me in line now..I will always remember and treasure all the memories we made together..We will look after carol and sly..You were Beca's second grandma..She loved you so much and misses you so much. Dot was like a mom to me,I even called her mom. She was a wonderful lady I aways enjoyed talking to her. I will miss all the times Carol, Mom and I would go to lunch and have a great time. I will truly miss her and I know her little dog Sly will miss her too.Carol, I'm so sorry for yor loss. She is now an Angel looking down at all of us with that beautiful smile.
