I first shared my favorite memory of Mrs. Fanning when Lisa shared that she was called home. For those who don't know us O'Neills and Fannings go way back to Baybrook M.D. We grew up together and our mom was Mrs, Fanning's best friend. There was so many memories but the one that that means the most to me us the summer that my sister Margaret, Lisa's best friend went to Scotland and I was spending the week end with Chris. Lisa's brother. Well I had a night mare and Mrs. Fanning came running in the room and asked what happened. I told her I had a bad dream well she tucked me back in. Kissed my forehead and said go back to sleep and that I am safe and everything will be alright, I guess it's her turn to sleep and everything will be alright now. So, Mrs. Fanning fly high sweet lady. Love, Betty.

My best memory of Edna was us swimming at Whalem park when I was a kid! She was always happy and smiling, and that's how I will remember her.

The best time I had with my great grandma is when we would play cards and she would kick our butts. I'm going to miss her so much. Who am I going to pick crabs for now?

Grandma, where do I begin? I was proud to be her only granddaughter. She brought me so much joy and everything that she has taught me. She was filled with laughter and happiness all the time. I will miss our times drinking and laughing together about guys! I will never be able to live up to your reputation as the greatest grandmother. You will forever and always be in my heart! I love you more than you will ever know!

Where to begin with this wonderful woman? I have had the privilege to know Edna for 17 years and in that time she became my Gramma too. She had a wicked sense of humor, a loving heart and a positivity that I craved to be near. I loved talking with her and hearing about her amazing life. She made my life brighter and I’m so blessed to be able to call her my friend. I would do anything to see her smile, I cherish the time I had with her. I love and miss you so much Gramma.

I am saddened to hear of Edna's passing, although I know she lived a beautiful life. Edna was such a beautiful soul who had spunk of a wild fire. Her contagious energy and spirit always lifted people she surrounded, esp me! I loved doing her hair and seeing her infections face that always brought me cheer. You will be deeply missed Edna. I too hope you're singing with the Angel's in a choir. Rest peacefully. Love you and thank you for your beautiful family you left us all here to love! Selena Wright❤

I am one of aunt Edna’s great nieces. I am so saddened by her loss. My heart goes out to all the family.
I remember aunt Edna as a fun- loving absolutely beautiful lady. My cousin Lisa( Edna’s daughter) and I have been keeping in contact a lot lately. She told me that her mom taught my mom, Betty, (May’s daughter) how to crochet. Then my mom taught me and I taught one of my daughters. So it has been passed down and will be for each generation. Makes me feel good. Aunt Edna was my mom’s favorite aunt. She loved them all but they were closer in age, and my mom used to tell us some of the stories of the fun she and Aunt Edna had. I knew my mom loved her very much.
So to Lisa I just want to say thank you for keeping me updated, and for all you did for your mom. You are incredible. The last few birthday parties you gave her will never be forgotten. As she will never be forgotten. She will always be in your heart and also in your families hearts every day. Love you...💗

My mom was an amazing woman. She touched so many lives she came in contact with. Mom was the last survivor of her generation on both sides of the family, Fanning's and Johnson's. That is incredible. Everyone says she has a zest for life and lived life to the fullest with no regrets. There are way to many memories to mention from Margaritas - to going on our cruise - to playing poker with the kids. Mom was the life of the party. There are no words for how my heart is breaking, but I know that she is in a better place with all of her family. I love you Mom, and will miss you everyday !
