Elisha Parker Green

Elisha Parker Green was born October 19, 1950, in Lynchburg, VA, to the late Elizabeth Hamner Jackson Green and Elisha Parker Green, Sr. After graduating from high school, Parker started a 50-year career in auto parts with Toyota. He worked for Charles Barker Toyota in Virginia Beach, VA for 37 years and Rivergate Toyota in Tennessee for 13 years.

Parker was always a sports guy. He loved to play football and tennis and was always ready to toss a ball with his brothers, his sons, and his granddaughters. Parker liked nothing better than having a cold beer and watching his Steelers play. He also enjoyed attending any activities involving his granddaughters, especially their softball games. His granddaughters were the light of his life!

Parker is survived by his best friend, companion, and wife of 44 years, Marsha Taylor Green; children Chris Hughes (Kerry) of Mount Juliet and Justin Green (Melinda) of Murfreesboro; granddaughters Cali and Kara Hughes of Mount Juliet; brother Ike Green (Evonne) of Virginia Beach; sisters-in-law Brenda Green of Chesapeake, VA and Beverly Taylor Hatch (Larry) of Danville, VA; best lifelong friend (and partner-in-crime) Hew “Byrd”; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Jack Green.

A gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday, October 17, 10:00 am at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 631 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach with a reception to follow.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 19, 10am at Rosewood Memorial Park.
