Elizabeth (Phoebe) Gordon

Elizabeth (Phoebe) Gordon, 69, passed away June 22, 2013. She was born in Greenville, NC on Dec. 27, 1943 to the late Richard E. Williams, Sr. and Ruthie Mae Hill. Mrs. Gordon was a Girl Scout leader for over 25 years. She enjoyed bowling and collecting wind-chimes and angels. She will always be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend; who loved to spend time with her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 49 years, Frank Gordon; daughters, Karen Jenkins and her husband Ronnie and Deborah Gordon; grandchildren, Justin Jenkins, Joshua Jenkins, Veronica Morrison, Dwayne Jenkins Jr., and James Jenkins; brothers, Dick Williams and his wife Bertha, James Williams, Ronnie Hill and his wife Kathy, and Donnie Hill and his wife Joan; sister, Faye Valentino and her husband Patrick; numerous nieces and nephews; and many who were lucky enough to call her grandma.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Rosewood Memorial Park. You may pay condolences to the family at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.
