Elizabeth Jane O'Connor

Elizabeth J. O’Connor, 90, passed away on September 12, 2014 with her loving family by her side. She was born on January 14, 1924 to the late William W. and Eleanor Robinson in Forest Lake, Michigan. She is predeceased by her husband of 55 years Thomas J. O’Connor, Sr.; son Thomas J. O’Connor, Jr. and daughters Stephanie O’Connor and Kathleen A. Neff.

Elizabeth was a member of The Church of the Holy Family and was a Registered Nurse and retired from the DePaul School of Nursing in 1986, after 26 years of teaching.

She is survived by her sons, William Frances O’Connor (Patricia), and Patrick Michael O’Connor(Denise); daughters Norma Jean Pope (John), Mary E. McCanna (Trey), Therese L. Raunswinter and Susan O. Austin (Gary); daughter-in-law Paula O’Connor; grandchildren Shannon M. Pope, Sr.(Jenifer), Brennon J. Pope(Courtney), Kristin N. Beacham (Craig), Jennifer Strach (Adam), Lindsey O. Case (Michael), John Michael O’Connor, Shawn P. O’Connor(Amy), Brent J. O’Connor (Courtenay), Kevin M. O'Connor (Penny), Missy N. Gould (Steven), Michael Neff (Ashley), Stephanie E. Armstrong (Nicholas), Kate M. McCanna, Erin E. O’Connor, Rory M. O’Connor, Leah M. O’Connor, Nolan R. Raunswinter, Whitney A. Raunswinter, Matthew T. Raunswinter, Wesley A. Austin, Andrew Reed Austin and Parker L. Austin and 15 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 from 6-8PM at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach VA 23462.
