

Eloise Nolan, born on December 27, 1940, in Nitro, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, at the age of 85. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.
Eloise dedicated much of her life to nurturing young minds during her long tenure at Kindercare. Her gentle spirit and patient nature left a lasting impact on both her colleagues and the children she cared for.
As a beloved "Mema," Eloise held a special place in the hearts of her grandchildren. She devoted countless hours to her grandson David, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Her love extended beyond her family to her neighborhood, where she was well-loved and appreciated by all. Her weekend yard sales were a staple in the community, bringing people together with her welcoming smile and generous heart. Eloise had a passion for travel, especially enjoying camping and road trips during the summer months. These adventures were a testament to her adventurous spirit and love for exploring new places.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Carl and Helen Harris, and her devoted husband, Master Chief Petty Officer Russell Nolan, with whom she shared 54 beautiful years of marriage.
Eloise is survived by her sons, Larry Lee, David Lee, and Robert Lee (Helen); her daughters, Leasi Thurman and Andrea Nolan; her treasured grandchildren, David Irvin, Staff Sergeant Harrison Lee, Zoe Lee, Kristen Lee, Cheyenne Lee, and Zachary Littman; and her great-grandchildren, David Irvin Jr., Elliott Lee, and Amelia Lee.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 North Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462, US, on April 7, 2026, at 10:00 am.
Eloise's legacy of love, kindness, and adventure will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
