Mr. Lilley was born in Washington, NC to the late Joseph L. Lilley and Beulah Wynn Lilley. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph E. Lilley, Sr. and two sisters, Mildred Jordan and Ethel Edmonson.
Mr. Lilley retired after thirty years of service as a truck driver for Texaco. He was a member of the 3 Million Miler Club and was a very active member of Avalon Church Of Christ.
Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-four years, Geraline W. Lilley, two sons, Elvin “Frank” Lilley, Jr; and Perry W. Lilley, a daughter, Cathy L. Baker and husband, Furman; two grandchildren, Christina L. Gross and husband, Tyler; Christopher F. Baker and a sister-in-law, Laura Lilley.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Avalon Church of Christ 844 Woodstock Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia where a celebration of Mr. Lilley’s life will be held on Friday, November 19, 11:00 a.m. by The Rev. Jimmy Bennett, The Rev. Malcom Puckett and The Rev. David Cuthbertson. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
