Evelyn G. Waters, 94, passed away on April 28, 2014. She was a faithful member of Lynnhaven Presbyterian Church and a retiree of the U.S. Postal Service. Evelyn is predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Calvin Waters, and 13 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol Burris and Bonnie Conway; grandchildren, Brian Burris and wife Shannon of Gloucester, Chris Burris and wife Betsy of Virginia Beach, Terri and Jason Conway of Chesapeake; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Chase, Samantha, Scott, Alexandra, Laila and Amaia; and a brother, Wilford Griffin of Williamston, NC.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, May 2, 2014 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home with burial to follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Message of Easter, Piney Grove Baptist Church, 2925 Piney Grove Church Rd, Williamston, NC 27892.
