Florence Eleanor Nelson, 97, went to meet the Lord on July 22, 2014. She is predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Lucius Nelson; her parents; 3 sisters; and her great-grandson, Joshua Schools. Florence was a skilled seamstress and crafter often crocheting booties for hospitalized infants. She also loved to cook, and hosted many family gatherings.
She is survived by her children, Robert Nelson, Ruby Jackson, and Myrna Nyreen (Ronald); her grandchildren, Robin Stubbs (David), Ned Tyler Jackson, John Jackson, and Erick Jackson (Angela), Lori Schools (Jimmy), Jennifer Wagner, Adam Nyreen, and Dan Nelson; 10 great-grandchildren; and 4 great great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends one hour prior to the service. You may offer condolences to the family at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.
