Florence Moore Vick

Virginia Beach - Florence passed away peacefully on Tues. Oct. 17, 2017. She was born in Princess Anne County on Aug. 24, 1921 to the late Walter J. Moore Sr. and Thelma Moore, who owned Moore’s Dairy Farm on Newtown Rd, VA Beach. Florence was married to Albert White Vick Sr., they had two son’s Albert Jr. and Richard Vick. She joins them all to live in the light of the Lord. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Dorothy Messing, Walter J. Moore Jr, and Jean Weldon. After 42 years of service, Florence retired as a school bus driver for the City of Virginia Beach Public Schools. The majority of her career she drove special needs children. She truly loved every student and enjoyed talking about her experiences. Left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Steven T. Vick Sr. and his wife Karen and April V. Wertz and her husband Joseph; five great-grandchildren, Steven T. Vick Jr., Nicole L. Vick, Brantley A. Vick, Reghyn A. Gibbs, and Austin L. Gibbs; and her late son Richard’s wife, Debra Vick. The family will receive friends from 1 - 2 p.m., Sat. Oct. 28 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A service will follow at 2:00 p.m. You may offer condolences to the family at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.
