Frances McGee

Frances F. McGee, 87, passed away on November 1, 2012 at DePaul Medical Center following a brief illness. Frances was born in Crewe, Va. She was the daughter of the late Liberty and Margaret Fowlkes. Frances grew up in Norfolk, graduated from Maury High School, and worked for the Royster Co. After raising her family, she worked in the library at Tidewater Community College, Portsmouth campus, and assisted her husband in his business, J.S. McGee Sales Agency. She was a devoted wife and mother, outstanding cook, avid reader, and crocheted many beautiful afghans for all of her family. Frances was predeceased by her husband Jack and two great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Katheryn. She is survived by three children, Peggy Taylor and husband Mike, Scott and wife Nancy, and Jeff and his wife Darlene; grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer Klein and husband Steve, Jesse, and Blair; great-grandchildren, Annalise, Elijah, and Joshua; brother, William R. Fowlkes of Virginia Beach; nephew, Randy; and a niece, Lynne Dozier and

husband Randy.
