Having a free spirit and strong sense of humor, Frank was well known for his charismatic and often uncensored comments that left many with wide eyes and smiles. Frank was a lifelong member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and true professional of his craft having retired from Local Union #26 as an Industrial Electrician. Outside of his profession, he was a loving grandfather and father, a caring brother, and an amazingly dedicated friend, always willing to go out of his way to offer a hand or help in any way he could. He spent his life doing things his way and on his terms as he could and made a hobby of making friends. Anyone who knows Frank, knows he can strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere, about anything.
Frank is survived by his son Jason Smith and daughter Kimberly King; two brothers Glenn Smith and David Haynes; four sisters Debbie Potter, Barbara Hazelwood, Peggy Boehm, and Nancy Noble; five grandchildren Christopher, Tyler, Caitlyn, Brandon and Kristin; and great granddaughter Lily May Bolick.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 19, 2017 from 5-7pm with a service at 6pm at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 601 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach VA. You may offer your condolences at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.
