Gary was born on January 7, 1956 in Baltimore, Maryland and was a resident of Chesapeake, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Audrey Stallings Jones and a sister, Sandy Burson.
Gary retired as a crane operator at Mid Eastern Builders after many years. He was a Christian and was baptized at Church of The Redeemer. He enjoyed knitting, crocheting, building Legos and several other hobbies.
Survivors include his loving wife, Bonnie Faye Jones, his father, Elbert Dale Jones, 3 children, Rachael, Jackie and Mike; 3 step daughters, Cynthia, Shannon and Jacklyn; 3 grandchildren, Mike, Faith and Lexie; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Tom Jones and wife, Jan; a sister, Ann Bauer and husband, Keith; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 4, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach.
A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home. Graveside service will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
