

Geraldine Jane Everly Coulliette, 86, a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away on January 5, 2026. Geraldine was born in Harrisburg, Pa. on March 28,1939 to the late William B. Everly and Mary Ellen Horner Turban. She is also predeceased by sisters, Nancy Zwart, Janis Parsons, Mary Scheib, her brother Andrew Bauman and her step-father, Johnny H. Turban.
After graduation from Central Dauphin High School in 1957, she joined the Navy and choose to become an Aerographer. She worked in the Operations Department, NAAS Forrest Sherman Field, Pensacola, FL. In 1960, she met and married her husband in the tiny Navy Chapel on NAS Pensacola, FL. Now a navy wife, she accompanied her husband to various duty stations in many states and abroad. They became proud parents of a daughter (Lisa) and son (Jon). As the children grew older, she continued her formal education earning an Associate’s Degree in Business (AA) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (BA).
In 1973, she joined the Federal Civil Service force and began working in the Comptroller’s Office, NAS Oceana, VA. She later transferred to NAS Patuxent River, MD as Supervisor, Internal Review. She continued her formal education, earning a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) in 1982. She retired as the Director, Internal Control, NATC Patuxent River, MD in 1995 as a GM-13.
Geri, as she was affectionally known by family and friends, enjoyed traveling and playing golf with her husband and friends. She played in several Lady Golf Associations in Maryland, Florida and Virginia. Her greatest thrill in golf was getting a Hole-in-One on the Bide-A-Wee Golf Course, Portsmouth, VA.
Left to cherish precious memories are her beloved husband of 65 years, Roy H. Coulliette; daughter, Lisa K. Matthews (Dean); son, Jon W. Coulliette (Kimberly); grandsons Thomas Scott Matthews (Blair), Joseph Andrew Coulliette and Steven Nelson Long; great grand-daughters Ava Mae Matthews, Allie Marie Matthews and Emerson Shepard Price. She is also survived by sister Julianna G. Stoner and brothers George J. Bauman (Frances). She will live in the hearts and memories by all who were fortunate enough to know her and be graced by her loving presence.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 15 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. The Celebration of Life and interment will be held on Friday, January 16, starting at 2:00 PM with reception to follow. All services will be held at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home,601 North Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
