Grace Artese, 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sept. 11, 2012. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on Nov. 26 1928 to the late Frank and Amelia Avona. Grace is preceded in death by her husband Anthony F. Artese.
Living her life with grace and dignity, she brought a smile to the face of everyone she met. Her strong faith, deep love of family and friends, and endless generosity will forever touch the hearts of the people who were fortunate enough to know her.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Charles Artese and Richard Artese and his wife Mary Beth; sisters, Delores Piccirillo and her husband Luddy, and Rose Artuso; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with entombment to follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
