Gregory Buck Welch

Born in Leesburg, Virginia June 30, 1994 to Kenneth and Virginia Welch, Greg was a student at Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach, a graduate of First Colonial High School in Virginia Beach, and a former student of Norfolk Christian School.

Greg is survived by his parents and siblings Juliet, John Carl, and Emerald Welch. He is the paternal grandson of the late Gordon Welch and Jean Rakowski Welch, and maternal grandson of Carl Hull and the late Mary Mannina Hull. He is survived by multiple cousins, aunts, uncles, one sister-in-law, and two nephews.

Greg enjoyed playing on his high school volleyball and tennis teams and spoke fondly of his time as a short-term missionary to people who live at the dump in Managua, Nicaragua. He had countless friends and will be remembered by all as the boy with the ready smile who made everyone laugh. He will be sorely missed, especially by his family.

Flowers can be sent to Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home in Virginia Beach, where the funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 22. A visitation will be held at Rosewood-Kellum 7-9 p.m. Thursday, February 21. A private family graveside service will be held late Friday afternoon.
