Mrs. Schnaars was born in Long Island, New York and resided in Virginia Beach since 1988. She was preceded in death by her husband George Francis Schnaars.
Survivors include her eight children, John Sicinski, Barbara Walsh and husband Robert, Cathy Quinn and husband William, Michael Sicinski and wife Denise, Patricia Robinson and husband Barry, Joseph Sicinski and partner Norberto, Mary Dobrow and husband Joel and Richard Sicinski and wife Gina; sixteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 23, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at The R. Stutzman & Son Funeral Home, 2000 Hillside Avenue, New Hyde Park, NY, 11040 and on Sunday, July 24, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, July 25 11am at St. Josaphat's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Long Island National Cemetery.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Virginia Beach.
