Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-seven years Louise Young Uhlenbrock, a daughter Deborah L. Carter and husband Michael, a son Samuel J. Uhlenbrock, five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Irvin retired as a Fire Captain after thirty years of service from the Norfolk Naval Base Fire Department.
A celebration of Irvin’s life will be held on Monday, October 28, 7 p.m. at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. Following the service the family will receive friends in the funeral home until 8:30p.m. Graveside services will be private.
