

Norfolk, Virginia – Surrounded by his loved ones, Irwin Albert Bray passed away on May 16, 2011, at his home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, December 21, 1935 to John and Carrie Bray. He was predeceased by his brothers Don and Richard Bray.
We will remember our husband and father with love, gratitude and affection and will cherish his memory forever. He was a good husband and father. Despite our loss, we take comfort in knowing that he is no longer in pain and is now our guardian angel watching over us.
Those he loved and left behind are his wife of 35 years Sharon, children Robert Bray and wife Sheree, Jennifer White and husband Craig, Gerald Johnson and wife Cindy and four grandchildren Chase, Landon, Bobby and Logan. He also had two children from a prior marriage Carolyn, and John, as well as their extended families; brother-in-law Tom Johnson, of Virginia Beach, sister-in-law Jerri McWhorter and partner Billy Pahl of Chesapeake, sister-in-law Patti Thrush husband Donald of Virginia Beach, sister-in-law Pamela Johnson of Virginia Beach and sister-in-law Charlene Bray (Frankfort, Ind.) and many nieces and nephews.
Irwin was a Fire Fighter in the U.S. Air Force; after which became an Automobile Mechanic, he was an avid sports fan, and retired in 2002.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, May 23, 2011 at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home with burial to follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. Please share your love and condolences with the family at www.kellumfuneralhome.com
