Virginia Beach - Jabe Burgess Heath went home to be with Jesus on Mon, June 26, 2017. Jabe, who liked to be called J.B., was born on July 12, 1929 in Old Trap, NC to the late Mr. & Mrs. Eldon Heath of Chesapeake. He was the beloved husband of the late Ruby Edith Heath.
J.B. leaves behind two daughters, Gloria Jackson (Don) and Shirley Day (Joel). A third daughter, Faith Chimento (Henry) of FL predeceased him in 2006. He also leaves five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, five siblings (living and deceased) and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, Witchduck Rd, on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. with a viewing one hour prior. Pastor Tammy Estep of Haygood United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park. You may offer condolences to the family at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.
