Jack H. Alligood 82, passed away on March 24, 2022. He was born on December 22, 1939 to the late Ollie Lee and Branson Alligood in North Carolina. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Connie Alligood; son, Jack Jr.; daughter, Synova Moore Westbrook; and his siblings, Cecil Alligood, Ola Rae Barnhill, and Edna Earl Chandler.
Jack joined the Navy and then Army. He served his country from 1958 to 1964. He was a distributor for Flowers Baking Company until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Moore Alligood; daughters, Misti Lynn Wheeler (Dave); Charlene Moore Anderson (Scott); and Gina M. Thompson (Mark). He had 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
His greatest joys in life were his family, cooking, caring for his beloved dogs, and playing the lottery.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 2pm with a visitation 1 hour prior at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach, VA. A burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. You may offer your condolences at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.
