Jack was a graduate of Baylor University in Waco, Texas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art. He was employed with Austin Engraving in Waco as a commercial artist. He later worked for Texas A&M Press and for the Houston Chronicle. He later moved to Virginia where he was self-employed as a fine artist at Artists-at-Work and the D’ Art Center in Norfolk. He received numerous awards and recognition for his artistic talent. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Hearne, Texas and after moving to Waco became a member of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church where he served on and coordinated the student bus ministry.
He is survived by a sister, Jane Brewer of Virginia Beach, and niece Jacqueline Johnson and her husband Kevin of Carthage, Missouri.
