Jackson LeVoye Janik, age 21, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away on October 30, 2026. Born on December 1, 2004, at Mary Immaculate Hospital, Jackson brought a unique warmth, humor, and spark of joy to everyone who knew him from the very beginning.
An ambitious and quick-witted young man, Jackson graduated a year early from Kempsville High School. Guided by his adventurous soul and boundless imagination, he dreamt big-holding plans to become either an underwater welder or a global rap star, whichever came first.
Jackson was a true free spirit who embraced life's variety with passion. He was an avid history buff and loved spending his time outdoors hiking, staying ahead of fashion trends, sharing belly laughs through comedy, listening to music, and creating memories with his loved ones. He had a profound love for all animals, but none held a special place in his heart quite like his beloved, long-eared "son," Bun Bun, whom he affectionately referred to as his "Bun-Son."
Jackson is survived by his loving mother, Krista Durant, and step-father, Isaiah Durant; his loving father, Ryan Lee, and step-mother, Kayla Rummel; his cherished sisters, Rhanna Lee, Jade Durant, Ryan Lee, and Katya Durka; his brother, Logan Lee; his grandparents, Teresa Ross (Jay), Roy Boykins (Novella), Ralph Lee (Grace), and Lesley Richardson; his significant other of 5 years, Kasumi Hall; and his adored pets, Raggy and Bun-Bun.
A Celebration of Life honoring Jackson's vibrant spirit will be held on Monday, November 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23462
In lieu of flowers, and in memory of Jackson's deep love for his bunny, donations may be made to Hoppy Homes 4 Bunnies at www.hoppyhomes4bunnies.org.
