James Albert Gay, passed away on December 28, 2021. He was born in Norfolk, VA to the late Albert Henry Gay and Bessie Holt. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Jimmy was a sharp shooter and was a 35 year member of the Army Rifle Team. He was also a lifetime member of NRA and the American Legion Princess Anne Post # 113. In his spare time Jimmy enjoyed bowling, camping, boating, and roller skating. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 66 years, Norma Jean Gay; and his adopted mother Etta Gray Gay.
Left to cherish his memory are his God-daughter, Terri Vienonen; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 4, 2021 at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 5, 2021 at the funeral home with burial to follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
