James Clifford Harden Jr.
August 11, 1967 – April 22, 2020

James C. Harden, Jr. (fondly known by his family as Jamie) passed away on April 22, 2020. James was born at Ft. McPherson in Atlanta, Georgia on August 11, 1967. An accomplished cook, James prided himself on his prowess as a meat smoker and joke teller. He was a faithful son who always cherished his Mother. James also was a caring brother who endeavored to achieve, strived to accomplish and persevered to excel. James was admired by his employers and colleagues at Advance Construction Services in Hampton, Virginia. He was a loyal friend to many. He was adored by his Grandson, Tristan, who he doted upon. James lived each day as though it were his last, and was best described for his refusal to allow tomorrow to shadow today.
James is survived by his wife, Karen Harden of Hampton; two stepsons; and grandson, Tristan. He is also survived by his beloved sister and camping/fishing partner, Linda Worrell of Virginia Beach, VA; brother Edwin Worrell of Madeira Beach, FL; sister Carole Foster and her husband Billy of Oxford, Georgia; sister, Brenda Cole and her husband Bill of Oxford, Georgia. He also was loved by many special nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. James will be cremated by Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home in Virginia Beach, VA and laid to rest in Rosewood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation made in his honor to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
