  Uncle Jimmy's was an amazing life well lived. I'm  sure you will so miss his presence in your lives until the day until we are all together again in the Lord.

I'm am very sorry to hear of Jimmy's passing. I was a member of the Kempsville's Lions Club in the 80's and early 90's where I considered Jimmy a good friend. Rest well my friend.  Doug Brown

Mr. Stocks was one of the first men to greet me when my wife and I first came to Kempsville Baptist Church.  He always had a pleasant smile and a hand shake for everyone at church.  He loved the Lord and especially Sunday School. Being his Sunday School teacher and deacon was a blessing.  We in the Friendship SS class will truly miss Brother Jimmie.  Bob/Doris Jolly

Edna and Children, I am sad to hear of Jimmy's homegoing..but that is what it was...he just went home. I loved Jimmy and had a deep trust and admiration for him. To me he was a great man.

As some of you may remember, Jimmie was my Sunday School teacher.  He took this job seriously but he also had a wonderful personality and sense of humor that helped him relate better to our class.   In addition, he took us on road trips - one of the best was to Outer Banks, NC where we camped out.  We had a wonderful time and I have always remembered it as one of the best trips I ever took.  I will always remember Jimmie as a very special, outstanding individual and my thoughts and prayers go out to all of you in this time of sorrow.

We had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Jimmie for many years. He was much loved by everyone who knew him. He was always stopping at KBC to see if there was something that he could do for the church. "Lovingly" some would speak of him as "preacher Stocks". He would give you that smile as only he could do (with a toothpick in his mouth). Now with the Lord! May God give the family peace and comfort at this difficult time.

I had the honor of knowing Jimmie through our work association.  He was always kind and  considerate as well as very professional in his approach to his responsibilities. A  great story teller who was always ready and willing to share his faith and outlook on life. Rest in peace old friend you will be missed!

We have lost a very special man.  Mr. Stocks was always very warm, friendly, with a soft, pleasant voice and a kind word for everybody.  I looked forward to seeing him at family gatherings with his wife.  He loved his family and showered them all with that love.  If I could only find the words to express my sorrow to his wife and every member of his family and to all who knew him...

Dear Steve and Family, I am so sorry to learn of your Dad's passing. He was a kind and charitable man, and I so enjoyed seeing him and your Mom. He is with Jesus now, and I wish you all peace and comfort.

Prayers for the family of Jimmy Stocks.  He was a fine Christian man who always spoke to my Dad and myself at Kempsville Baptist Church when I would come to spend time with my Dad Arthur Cardillo before he went to be with the Lord in August 2013. A fine Christian man who will be remembered by many.

From everyone at J.B.Basnight & Son Electrical Contractors, and ECAT.  Jimmy, my Dad JB, and I had a lot of good times together. He was an inspiration to the electrical contracting field in the area. He was full of knowledge about his industry and faith and would gladly share both. Jimmy was not only my close friend, but a teacher to me. He pushed me to do my best and reach for the next level. When Jimmy could make it to an Electrical Contractors of Tidewater (ECAT) meeting it was a real treat for all, It was like Royalty entered the room. He always had a big smile on his face and made sure he spoke with everyone in the room. We always asked him to bless our meeting and our meal with grace at which he was so eloquent, and ready to give God much deserved credit for his gifts and talent. I think about him often and know he will be missed by his family, church family, and by the membership of ECAT. Jimmy RIP you will never be forgotten!
