Mrs. Ashford was born in Hutchinson, Kansas and resided in Virginia Beach since 1967. She was preceded in death by her husband Charley L. Ashford; a son Terry Lee Ashford; and one brother and four sisters.
Survivors include two children Larry Ashford and wife Laurie, a son Jerry Ashford; three grandchildren Dawn Oland and husband Chris, Nikki Johnson and husband Josh, and Amy Roger and husband Keith; five great grandchildren Kaya Phillips, Brayden Roger, Kailyn Roger, Lennon Johnson and Evan Oland.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016, 3:00 p.m. at Rosewood Memorial Park. A reception will follow in the funeral home.
