Jeanne Marie Buck

Jeanne Buck was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world peacefully at age 74 when she passed away in her Virginia Beach home in the loving company of her family on April 6, 2021. She grew up in Minnesota with her siblings Mary and John Rusnacko. She moved to Virginia Beach as a young woman and married the love of her life, Kenneth Buck, who preceded her in death in 2018. Although their two sons, Christopher (Sarah) and Justin (Becca), kept them on their toes, they were proud parents, and Jeanne’s patience and dedication to her children surely have helped to earn her angel wings. Jeanne served the community as a volunteer for the schools, public library, Boy Scouts, and the Hunter House Museum. She will always be remembered for her lively personality and she always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went and was not one for holding back her opinion. Lighting up her life were her grandchildren: Jason, Samantha, Jagger, Elle, Cheyanne, Dylan, and Winston; and five great-grandchildren. All who loved her dearly and will never forget her tenacity and undying love and caring for them. Jeanne was taken from this world, yet her legacy will live through her family forever. Her life will be celebrated with a private ceremony.
