Jennifer Weiss Popina

February 13, 1978April 12, 2018

Jennifer Lynn Weiss Popina, 40, passed away in Virginia Beach on Thursday, April 12, 2018 after a two and a half year battle with cancer. Jennifer was born in Norfolk, VA to Robert and Janie Weiss. She is survived by her husband, Michael Popina; children, Christian Weiss, Victoria Weiss-Popina, Elise and Nicholas Popina; parents, Robert and Janie Weiss; siblings, Robert, Joseph and Rodney Weiss; grandmother, Nancy Crotts; father and mother in law, Michael and Patricia Popina; brother-in-law, John Popina and many aunts, uncles and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Jennifer was a loving wife and mother. Vibrant and full of life, she lit up the room everywhere she went. She was a true beacon of light to her family and her friends. She will be dearly missed by all. The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Scott Cross and Barbara Piper for their love and care for Jenny the past two and a half years.

There will be a visitation from 6-8pm, Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 1pm, Friday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will immediately follow the service at Rosewood Memorial Park with a reception to follow. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.

When i first met Jennifer it was like i had known her for years, she was just one of those people who had a personality that just made you feel so comfortable in her company. My prayers go out to her family, may you remember all the good times you shared, and take solace in the fact that she suffers no more. May God bless you all in this time of loss.

I have known Jenny since high school and she was always the sweetest person!!!! I haven't seen her in awhile but I am positive that she hadn't changed, it showed through her family and friends. So sorry to hear 0f her passing....a precious life gone too soon. Rip Beautiful!!! Prayers to all of her family!!! 💕💕
