Jennifer Weiss Popina

Jennifer Lynn Weiss Popina, 40, passed away in Virginia Beach on Thursday, April 12, 2018 after a two and a half year battle with cancer. Jennifer was born in Norfolk, VA to Robert and Janie Weiss. She is survived by her husband, Michael Popina; children, Christian Weiss, Victoria Weiss-Popina, Elise and Nicholas Popina; parents, Robert and Janie Weiss; siblings, Robert, Joseph and Rodney Weiss; grandmother, Nancy Crotts; father and mother in law, Michael and Patricia Popina; brother-in-law, John Popina and many aunts, uncles and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Jennifer was a loving wife and mother. Vibrant and full of life, she lit up the room everywhere she went. She was a true beacon of light to her family and her friends. She will be dearly missed by all. The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Scott Cross and Barbara Piper for their love and care for Jenny the past two and a half years. There will be a visitation from 6-8pm, Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 1pm, Friday in the funeral home chapel.
