Mr. Maynard was born in Raleigh, N.C., son of the late Wilbur A. and Mary A. Maynard of Virginia Beach. He was the President of Maynard's Auto Glass in Norfolk and Southern States Glass Co. in Richmond. He was Veteran in the United States Army and served in Korea.
He is survived by 2 sisters, Vanessa A. Schoener and Amanda L. Maynard; and 5 nieces and nephews, Dale Schoener, Lynn Folk, Randy Maynard, Debbie Waldrop, and Dean Maynard Forbes.
Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. Services will be private. Memorial Donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association at donations.diabetes.org
